Ever wonder when you're allowed to remix, mashup, or pay tribute to a copyrighted online video without permission or payment?  Well, the Center for Social Media at American University has put together a creative explanation of fair use, which is key to copyright law. 

Check out the video to understand the Code of Best Practices for Fair Use, then visit their website: centerforsocialmedia.org/fairuse. It's got loads of resources on the importance of fair use, complete with teaching materials and examples of fair use in action.
