FOX Continues to Attack Black America

We first created FOX Attacks Black America two years ago in an effort to illustrate FOX's penchant for airing bigoted views.  Not only do they bring on racist guests, but some of the most inflammatory remarks come from African Americans guests like Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson--FOX's insidious attempt to lend credence to their racial prejudice.  And despite Barack Obama's historic election, the network continues to smear the President and black America with the same kind of hateful rhetoric we saw throughout the election cycle.

On Sean Hannity's show last week, Peterson said, "I think we all agree that Barack Obama was elected by, mostly by black racists and white guilty people."  Now, Hannity pretended to be shocked by Peterson's words, but as News Hounds noted, Hannity has had Peterson on the show repeatedly over the years to spout similar bigotry.  In December of 2006, for instance, Peterson told Hannity, "Racist blacks have the freedom of expression when it comes to the issue of race and morality... but white folks are made to be quiet and not even mention race."  How did Hannity reply to Peterson during that segment?  He merely said, "Always love having you," and that he was proud to be on the advisory board of Peterson's organization, BOND Action.

Of course, after Hannity feigned offense this past week, he and Peterson quickly segued into a conversation as to whether Hannity will be considered racist simply for being a white critic of Obama.  Then, Hannity gave Peterson the last word, which turned into a racially-loaded rant about socialism and religion.  “[Voting is] based on race, and it's that Democrat 'Take care of me' mentality," Peterson said.  "You've had most of the black preachers voting for him, and I say that there is no way that you could believe in God and vote for a person like Barack Obama... He's going to take away from those willing to work hard and give to those willing to work."

There's no question that Hannity himself is a bigot.  But what FOX does by bringing on guests like Peterson and giving them the last word is to legitimize these racist views because they're coming from a black reverend and not Hannity's mouth.  Since FOX clearly has no intention of curbing or curtailing racially loaded rhetoric, it might be time for a FOX Attacks Black America sequel.

Digg!

For the love of God, why don't you attack the guest who said these things. Why don't you get an interview with him and see if he says the same type of things to you. Really, do you think Fox news pays the guy to say certain things for them? Its at least nice to be able to watch a channel where everyone is not hypnotized by the "messiah" Its what America is about, there are many view points. Not every black person will have the same opinions on Obama, many people couldn't care less about his race, but only what he truly stands for. It doesn't make them racists.

Any person appearing on Fox News in support of any views they have should be analyzed by a certified medical psychoanalyst for unconscious stupid impulses, social anxieties, and personal internal conflicts and then referrered by family to a good psychiatrist.

I lost interest in this conversation because the fact is we, as American news hounds ,know that Fox "news" is not the Bible of news. Fox does not have the pull it had 10 to 15 years ago. We, the American people, know what Fox's agenda is. Yelling, tabloid news, rating, self importance, and most important, money. Yes I know there are some people out there that take Fox "news" as gospel and good. If they like that kind of shit news reporting then drown in it. We have to move on. There are other news sources in this world of ours. I just watch Fox sometimes to get a good chuckle, well that is what I always did anyways. Oh, Fox"news" are racist???
WOW THAT'S NEWS! I didn't know that I thought they were "fair and accurate". Hannety and O'Rielly and all the rest there at Fox should stay there at Fox so we know where "they" are.

...their *cough, cough* black commentator for his views that all blacks are racists.

Surely you could find some better clips? This guy has literally been saying stupid, ignorant, childish, and unsubstantiated things that defy reality--and making tons of money doing it--for a decade or more now. And you conjured him admonishing a racist! Oh, for shame...

Go fish. Again.

Yes, we know that Faux News is chock-full of racists and their enablers. We all know that demeaning black people in the media has always been big business, and having Obama in office means nothing. Until Americans finally wake up and stop giving this channel their hard-earned money, Faux News will continue spewing its vitriol.

Then again, it's only us black people they're attacking so we don't matter much. Let them start attacking white guys with the same level of hatred and see what happens. As for me and my family, we had Faux News REMOVED from our cable television package. I'd like to see others follow my example.

Jesse Lee Peterson is nothing more than an embarassment to himself and to black people in general. He is barely literate and it's painful to watch him try to sound educated when he's more ghetto than even 50 Cent. It's sickening to see him suck up to Hannity and his ilk, who probably make fun of the man behind his back.

Black Americans? Of course it must be said that anyone who claims a person as the "first black to achieve anything " is actually making a racist remark!

And a very demeaning one as well! - almost as if anyone of a darker hue,is obviously less blessed in the brain department and quite incapable of doing anything of worth!

Where do they come from with that sort of stuff? Where do Greenspan and the Wall Street scammers fit into this color categorization? Are they white idiots or just idiots who are unfortunately not black!

When we stop calling people Black Americans or White Americans, maybe we will get the picture!

Anyone need clarification on this?

I am just a white guy who objects to the fact that professional's write stuff without putting their brain into gear first!

Maybe they are just stirring!

What are their so-called editors doing?

Have you seen Pepsi's new ad? It has a symbol similar to Obama's campaign symbol, and this symbol creates the "O" in "Oh Boy." I think it's racist and offensive.

There is nothing new in what FAUX News is doing. They're using an art form that has been around for over a century. Sean Hannity and Jesse Lee Peterson are a 21st century minstrel show, where Hannity is the interlocutor and Peterson is the "end man".

The interlocutor and the end man's role is to engage in a provocative dialogue, grounded in racial stereotypes, to entertain a sympathetic audience. In this version, the interlocutor is in "whiteface" and the end man is in "black face".

My, oh my ... we sho' have come far!

The objection to Obama's proposed stimulus package is primarily made by whining white men with sticky-sweet drawls, objecting to details and philosophy of government acting to avoid economic depression. What might actually be behind their squawking is the fact that a man of color just might be the one who saves us from the ditch that they drove us into.

It has gone the way of corporate America degeneration and demise. Why has congress extended the converter box date their afraid large numbers of people will start forming their own opinions based on reality.

Hannutsy's Posturing as an Intellectual

Current rating: Not yet rated    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
It is utterly laughable to watch Hannutsy posturing as an intellectual based on his electricians' certificate. His ability to deceive the pathetic Dupes and the mentally challenged into waving the flag, cheering the fatcats. and voting against their own interests, has brought to him his obscene compensation which greatly exceeds that of many holding graduate degrees including Ph.D's.

Limbaughloney's posturing is based on a radio announcer certificate. He enjoys an unbelievably obscene compensation thanks to the same audience of pathetic Dupes and mentally challenged.

Both are soidisant intellectuals with no academic credentials. Both with no military experience are rabidly in favor of gunpoint forign policy complete with bombing and fighting to bring freedom to selected countries...as long as other men and women are doing the fighting and dying.

Alternatively, of course there may have been a couple of sympathetic colleges who have conferred honorary degrees on them for entry into an all but invisible curriculum vitae.

This time on Glenn Beck where Peterson made similar racist comments. Beck didn't go for it but he neither repudiated nor rebutted Peterson either.

That's what I think Murdoch and Co. are doing. Go into any establishment in the backcountry of Dixie and you'll find Fox is the only news station offered on basic cable TV. And it just isn't there you find this: Try eastern Washington and Oregon (Thank God for Seattle and Portland) or Kansas, Texas (of course) and Oklahoma. I think this is what the local pols want and demand. "You betcha" it's probably the same in the Alaska hinterlands, too!!

Time to bring back "equal time" for dissenting political opinions. Enough of Bush Family contolled TV. One hour of Keith for one hour of Sean. (And one hour of Rachel for one hour of "Imelda" Malkin!)

United States. That is our only hope. Eventually we must hope that the wing nuts will be so stupid that they will become obvious to a strong majority.

We saw 42 percent vote for McCain. Where would we be right now if McCain had won? We are up s#&tcreek right now. With him we would be further up it. Cheney had a 16 percent approval rating when he left. What was wrong with that 16 percent? Bush had 22 percent. What is wrong with these people?

"We sure should have put Social Security in the stock market." gets a fairly intelligent response nowadays. People recognize you are not serious. I have life long republicans quietly tell me in private that they voted for Obama. They really don't want it told around. I have no idea if I can get them to "come out of the closet".

Why do we continue to report on the actions of the stupid people who man the Fox Network? It is a Fascist state with a Dr Goebbels mentality.
Just take Bill Riley as one example, the man is a racist and an ignorant attempt at journalism. Just as long as we have a Black Preident Fox will continue to shit its drawers.

Oh to see life as a simpleton sees it. These jerks appeal to the jerks who watch them who need to see the world as black and white (sorry for the pun!) To understand complex problems and God knows race in the U.S. is complex political problems on complex economic problems. For Hannity to attempt such thinking would fry his small brain.

Unfortunately there is the same thinking process on the other side of the issue that doesn't want to hear any disagreement with their "solutions". "Disagree with me and you're a racist." That doesn't get us anywhere either.

All Americans need jobs, education and a decent standard of living. When we all have that the issue of race will disappear!

“A black man voting for the Republicans makes about as much sense as a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.”

These words of wisdom are from the father of J. C. Watts, the former Republican Representative (1995-2003) from Oklahoma who was then the only black GOP member of Congress.

Only two kinds of people listen to Fox: those who agree with Fox's message already and are just looking for moral support. The other kind watch Fox only to keep up with what the lunatic fringe is claiming today. In neither instance is it especially effective. It's best to simply ignore it and wait for it to wither on the vine.
