Amongst the illustrious disasters vying for the #1 spot are...

Current rating: Not yet rated    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
* The right-wing-freak-show coup d'etat assassination of JFK.

* Lyndon Baines Johnson's concocted Tonkin Bay incident which was used to escalate America's involvement in Vietnam.

* Kenneth Starr's $70 million witch hunt against Bill Clinton. Note: This was the political equivalent of JFK's open limo ride through Dealey Plaza.

* The stealing of the 2000 election.

* The "Swiftboat veterans for 'truth'" operation. Admittedly, a more humane way of dispensing with JFKII.

Ask not what the country can do for you, ask what corporate America running wild can do for my friends!

A Mug's Game

Attempting to choose who is the worst president is a mug's game. Different presidents have inflicted damage either on Americans or on peoples of another nation so that it is difficult to rank them in order of their evil deeds. Since WWII, most presidents are war criminals (as documented in my latest book "Lying for Empire: How to Commit War Crimes with a Straight Face"). Many have cut back important government programs or have caused serious damage to the economy.

President Truman not only dropped the two nuclear bombs on Japan, he fire bombed a number of cities including Tokyo where 85,000 people lost their lives

President Johnson lied about the Gulf of Tonkin incident which led to the Gulf of Tonkin resolution and 550,000 troops in Vietnam. Fifty-five thousant Americands died and three million Vietnamese.

President Nixon bombed Cambodia and killed 600,000 people. The bombing of Cambodia drove peasants into the arms of the Khmer Rouge who, after taking power, killed about another two million.

President Reagan destroyed Nicaragua and reduced it to one of the poorest countries on the planet. He also drove the budget into a deep deficit. He supported Hussein and armed him with weapons of mass destruction.

President Bush Sr. killed over one hundred thousand in Iraq during Desert Storm and about a million with sanctions (Clinton also bears resonsibility).

Rather that try to rank them in order of their evil deeds, one might look for commom patterns and motives in their actions and ask the question "Why do we elect such people to be president?"

The answers might point to a corporate run imperialistic system whose main objective is to enrich itself at the expense of everyone else.
