Groupies love the Coq
A less pretty picture from the press kit for Burger King's new publicity gimmick, which is a fake band called "Coq Roq" -- evidently named just so they could burden us with this charming slogan. [Nerve via Feminsting]
That the photo showed up in the press kit sent to Nerve is bad news for BK, which recently pulled the same material off its website:
Sigh! Burger King, serving shit for brains for way too long.

Sexual double entendres were removed overnight from Burger King's new website, CoqRoq.com, but the company claims it has received no complaints from consumers or other outside groups, AdAge reports. The deleted content included captions, under photos of young women, that read: "Groupies love the Coq" and "groupies love Coq." The captions were there when the site went live yesterday, but according to Edna Johnson, SVP for global communications for Burger King, malfunctions in the Flash and XML programming were responsible for putting the captions up.[LINK]The offensive-caption virus then spread across the company's publicity campaign, infecting unsuspecting press kits that are now creating epidemics of bad taste everywhere.
Sigh! Burger King, serving shit for brains for way too long.
