Declare a return to the rule of law and do it by getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Rectify the illegal actions taken by Bush. Convince the public they do not have a right to devour 80% of the world’s resources and initiate and pass legislation to back this up, including dispelling the notion that we are a “consumer economy” and it is our patriotic duty to shop. Allow unsustainable industries and production techniques to disappear and encourage their replacement with sustainable, economies of (human) scale with Grameen Bank-style loans and support people over corporations.
