Without a Public Program 'Reform' is an empty illusion

Conyers 676 is a great bill for the process to convert US to a nationalized Program, but may be too 'radical' for some to embrace just yet. So merely beginning a public program ,like Medicare, will help ease citizens and the system into the concept.
Offer this Public Program, allow people to choose and as the numbers increase because of constant coverage and lower premiums, the Private Corps will have to keep up. True Market Forces will prevail. And nowhere does our Constitution state 'The People' can not act as a competitor or provider- In fact the Opposite is true. We not only are granted the Right to a Gov't 'Of,For & By the people', but also a Free market. If the market place is limited to only Corporations, then it is essentially the same thing as when the Market was controlled by Family Crests- we just happen to call them Logos Now. It is innately UnAmerican to relegate the Citizens of this country to mere Consumers- barring US from working as a collective to be a supplier of goods and services. The Corps have been trying to kill medicare since it's inception and they are close to succeeding. With the increase of population in Boomer Demographic and the reduction of younger workers to support them, it will go broke. However if the pool of medicare insured increases to include those with less risk, the system will survive, if not thrive. Something the insurance Corps hate. If they can kill Medicare (which we owe to our seniors to assure them "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness' after they have contributed so much to this country)Then that Huge Demographic must come to them and pay high premiums for coverage. This is not only Unethical, but Immoral.Hell they are already hitting US unjustly to cover children. Worse yet is the Corps ability to deny coverage- basically leaving this group to die from curable or manageable disease or infirmities.
We may not be able to kill the Corps off with one swell swoop- but we can starve them to death, or at least instill some morals and ethics through forced true competition.
Those who block or oppose a public program should just be run out of office, they should be prosecuted for undermining our Democratic Free Market Ideology. Our Founders intention was to allow US to be suppliers, not just consumers. There are Two sides to that Free market coin Boys & Girls.
Same Goes for True Energy Independence- We should have control over OUR nations resources and have access to compete on the Open Global Market.Private Corps should Be pushed back on to lands they actually own. We should retain all rights to that which is the property of the UNITED States. Why is it so many people are freaked out about Foreigners buying up our lands, but oblivious to multinationals seizing control over our property and resources? Same Shit just a different Emblem, neither of which is OURS or is required to act in our best interest or on our behalf.

Watched that PBS Bill Moyers show the other night and it was amazing . The most amazing part was the fact that the Most Respected Canadian Politician of the 20th Century was the guy who gave them their "socialised" medicine .
The proponents brought up a very valid point that with numerous medical Insurance plans the Doctors and Hospitals have to hire more staff to process claims .
