The largest group of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, with 100,000 members, VoteVets.org is today unveiling a national cable ad calling on Senator John McCain to listen to the sovereign government of Iraq, by setting timetables for the redeployment of U.S. forces from the Iraq war, or make clear that we are going to occupy Iraq indefinitely. The ad will begin airing on Friday and run through most of next week on national cable stations.

VoteVets.org is a pro-military organization committed to the destruction of terror networks around the world, with force when necessary. It represents the Voice of America's 21 Century Patriots - those who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. It primarily focuses on nonpartisan education and advocacy on behalf of troops, veterans and their families.

That is a powerful ad. I hope that it runs as much as the swift boaters ad did in 04.

For some reason he has a perverse kind of loyalty to Bush & Co. His atttitude and behavior toward all the veteran's issues are out of character. He votes against programs that he himself benefited from or doesn't show up at all to vote. No wonder the vets don't like him. He's downright disloyal and that's not what the military is about. He's a disgrace. ANNA

McCain was AGAINST *water torture*, stating it was a violation of the Geneva Conventions; that was until

he decided he would rather win a political campaign than fight against torture and violations of the Geneva Convention.

It's *the* most despicable stand a former POW could take; he has just given permission for all USA Enemy Combatants (formerly known as the US MILITARY, but hey! If they aren't military because we CHOOSE to define them, they can define US too)to be water boarded and any other "enhanced interrogation" technique dreamt up by Rumsfeld and Gonzalez.

How DARE HE call upon his military experience after selling out the entire security of our current military. BASTARD.

listening to McStain's bumbling interviews juxtaposed with Obama in Iraq and Afghanistan, standing with large groups of soldiers and marines who were smiling, laughing, waving, shaking Obama's hand, taking pictures.

Even if McStain can't grasp what is happening with our military in Iraq and Afghanistan, they are getting a clear picture of the clarity of mind and purpose of the two candidates.

There is another military group who I see "debating" VoteVets on TV all the time, who are Republic supporters of McStain. (I can't recall the name of the organization right now, sorry) I expect they will be putting out their own "counter-ad" this weekend, as well.

Just look at us all,still paying taxes?
Where is America's "Robin Hood".
Voting for any kind of president is tacky,we the people don't need presidents or banks,lawyers,prisons,borders,concrete,bombs,and,drugs.
All we should do is feel self love and express joy with others and Earth mother.!!.

McCain is still fighting the Vietnam war. In his mind a Win {whatever that means} in Iraq will negate our pull-out from 'Nam.

As for torture..He knows it doesn't work and has said so. Shame on him. And what happened to his.. "We are going to run a clean campaign??" Blaming Obama for the high fuel prices, not visiting the troops in Germany, etc.

No wonder the press/media largely ignores McCain. If you can have a proud, triple crown winner in Secretariat to interview.. why would you go to a lonely, sad gelding pony in the field down the street.

Guess We Can and Yes We Will.
