The Real McCain: Senator Gets Millions from Lobbyist "Friends" [VIDEO]

Posted by Robert Greenwald, Brave New Films at 3:23 PM on February 22, 2008.

The truth is that he's the DC lobbyists' loyal lapdog.

Since the traditional media has obsessively focused on McCain's alleged liaison with Vicki Iseman and smearing The NY Times, Brave New Films felt compelled to take action. Jason, Phillip, and Dallas raced to the editing room, turned off the phones, locked the door, and focused on the real issue about McCain's lobbyist ties.

It's not a pretty picture. But here's our chance to get the truth out there for everyone to see.

With inspiration from the insightful blogs of FireDogLake's Jane Hamsher, Christy Hardin Smith, and Marcy Wheeler, we found footage and music to show the story not being told.

We use humor, we use pop culture, we use McCain's insistent use of the word "friends!" We hope you will send it along to your friends, foes, and media outlets.

John McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, and yet he said "I'm the only one the special interests don't give any money to."

Sign the petition demanding McCain return the millions of dollars raised by lobbyists.

So we return to the status quo. Republicrats in this country get the leadership they want and deserve. They reject honesty and those who would actually make changes like Ron Paul.

I have been very interested in the presidential canidates for some years. As an independant, the information has left me knowing those who are dishonest and unfit for any political office, if we are looking for honest government! McCain is incompetent, Clinton is a spare tire that shows to much wear after driving over dirt roads... and that leaves Obama. As I see, old experience can be deadly for our Country, .... well, my conclusion is, the smart man with judgement, energy and honesty... together with youth and the drive of a strong team of horses....so it can only be Obama. We need him badly. Forget the color ... the rest of the World has accepted him. I look at Obama as representing a man of the World! Let us have him represent America.
