On last night's episode of The Simpsons, Springfield most infamously slow-witted child, Ralph Wiggum, launched an unlikely campaign for the White House. Even though Lisa points out that Ralph is only eight, his vapidity and inexplicable charm make him appealing to both Republicans (led by Mr. Burns and a Rush Limbaugh inspired parody, in a scary castle GOP fortress) and the Democrats (with Hank Azaria reprising his character from The Birdcage and a spoof of Arianna Huffington, there HQ is in an organic salad bar). Wiggum opts for an optimistic, unity ticket in what appears to be a dig at both Obama and Bloomberg. It's nice to see a little edge on The Simpsons again. Check out the video to your right to see Wiggum's first campaign commercial, biting jokes about Bush, Clinton, the Patriot Act, Election 2004 in Ohio and more.
