Giuliani Campaign Co-Chair: "I Don't Subscribe To The Principle That There Are Good Muslims And Bad Muslims"

The rhetoric coming from the Republican party is so hateful that I nearly expect to hear someone propose a final solution to "the Muslim problem."

I'm very consciously about to break Godwin's Law here, but I think it's warranted: The rhetoric coming from the Republican party is so hateful that I nearly expect to hear someone propose a final solution to "the Muslim problem."

John Deady, the co-chair of New Hampshire Veterans for Rudy, is standing by the comments he made in the controversial interview with The Guardian we posted on below, in which he said that "the Muslims" need to be chased "back to their caves."

In an interview with me, Deady confirmed that when he made the comments, he was referring to all Muslims.

"I don't subscribe to the principle that there are good Muslims and bad Muslims," Deady told me by phone from his home in New Hampshire. "They're all Muslims."

But he was probably just taken out of context, right? Well...

In the earlier interview with The Guardian, Deady said of Muslims: "We need to keep the feet to the fire and keep pressing these people until we defeat or chase them back to their caves or in other words get rid of them."

Emphasis mine. Deady later clarified:

"When I say get rid of them, I wasn't necessarily referring to genocide. What I was referring to is, stand up to them every time they stick up their heads and attack us. We can't afford to say, `We'll try diplomacy.' They don't respond to it. If you look into Islamic tradition, a treaty is only good for five years. We're not dealing with a rational mindset here. We're dealing with madmen."

"I wasn't necessarily referring to genocide?" That may be more telling than the original comment.

Ali has more on the GOP's Muslim problem. I'm still in shock that I live in a country where these kinds of comments are acceptable in a Presidential campaign.

Digg!

If Rudy doesn't have this guy's ass fired immediately, then we know Giuliani is literally what I knew him to be all along: a fascist.
If he does have this bigot fired immediately, then Rudy is literally what I knew him to be all along: a pandering fascist.

There are no two ways about it... this walks the edge of the kind of rhetoric of Nazi Germany.

... there is NOTHING he could have been talking about BUT genocide. He wants to "get rid of" a segment of the world population.. all of them, not just those that want to attack others or endorse doing so.

I don't know who scares me more these days, Rudy Giuliani, or Romney/Huckabee.

Before the inevitable hand slapping for using the F-word, it should be added that this zeal for genocide is only the latest entry in a list of fascist qualities embodied by Giuliani and his supporters.

He needs a nickname. I nominate "Il Douche"

Fundamentalists are dangerous - whether Muslims, Christians, Jews or whatever.

Religions and beliefs in supernatural, whackdoodle idiocy that tells people they are better than other people and "special" have caused more grief, murder and mayhem than anything else in human history. Bigotry is inherent in ALL religions. Singling out a bigot speaking against Islam must be accompanied by criticism of Muslims and Jews who are every bit as bigoted against others. As an atheist, I can imagine ALL of these nutcases wanting to do me harm - fuck 'em, they're nuts. More bad news - Muhammed was a con man, Joe Smith was a con man, Sts. Paul, Peter, all the popes - con men, religion is about power and control - plus, sorry, ain't no Santa, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny (no, Jesus didn't get up after three days and go anywhere - he was dead - besides, if he really could see what's been done in his name he'd go batshit).

Are there any good Christians?

Let's see, Christians were responsible for the Crusades, the witch trials in Europe and the U.S., the Spanish Inquisition, the 30 Years' War (Christians vs. Christians), the trials and burnings of Protestants by Catholic church leaders, the ruination of uncounted cultures around the world, the German Holocaust, the Russian pogrom against the Jews, the American pogrom against the Mormons (Christians) by others who considered themselves "real" Christians, the Mountain Meadows massacre of other Christians by Mormon Christians, the current debacle in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I could go on and on. I was raised a Christian, but I'm not sure what I am now. What do we do about the "Christian problem"?

Jewish people who work with these racist republifascists beware. Yesterday it was the "niggers", now it is the "Muslims", tomorrow it could be YOU.

Left alone, Amerika was only a threat to it's own dark-skinned and/or non-Christian minorities. Now, as unchallenged hyperpower sitting astride planet earth, it is truly a threat to all mankind, not just "Muslims" (the initial easy target). It is ironic that the country that pats itself on the back as the alleged "destroyer of Nazism" (a lie, since the USSR did that job) now inherits the Nazi's racist mantle, with far more terrifying power.

I'm inclined to agree with Mr. Deady, even if that might label me as "hateful". Unfortunately, I did have some personal experiences with Muslims, and came to conclusions similar to those expressed by Mr. Deady.

I usually post this few links every time somebody compares Muslims to Christians, or says that "the Muslims are just another religion, and of course there are Muslim extremists, there are extremists in every religion, but they don't reflect the views of the entire religion." Those people are usually misinformed and haven't even read the Qur'an.

The truth is, Muslim religion is a joke, not religion. Muslims are following moral teachings of a pedophile. And don't for a second believe that Jihad is something symbolic. Muslims have historically always fought wars with weaker enemies, and lived in peace with stronger enemies - until they were in position to destroy them. They had to, it's written in Qur'an. And enemies = all non-Muslims.

Here are the links:
