[Report this comment] Posted by: CatDad on Oct 24, 2008 1:23 AM Current rating: 5 [1 = poor; 5 = excellent] Dream on....They've been using these tactics since Nixon and will continue to use them as they know they'd loose on a polite, fact-based discussion on thie issues. The American Right (sadly) is very vibrant and resilient...and they have an amazing way of roaring back with a re-branded "message" and a new breed of con-artists in the next election cycle. Even after the GOP catastrophe of Watergate...the Democratic "re-alignment" lasted a mere 4 years. The 1992 "re-alignment" lasted a mere two years...and the Rethungs came ROARING back. I'm getting concerned at how cocky (and idealistic) some Democrats/progressives are becoming about this election. Democrats will be Democrats and they will disappoint....
