CNN anchor Campbell Brown ripped into the McCain campaign for its sexist treatment of Sarah Palin.  Brown accused the McCain camp of treating Palin like "a delicate flower" for refusing to allow Palin to hold press conferences or field questions from reporters during her UN meetings yesterday. (h/t Jezebel)

I was already impressed with Brown last month when she stuck it to McCain toady Tucker Bounds when he was unable to speak to Palin's "foreign policy credentials."  Here's hoping we see more rants like this one!

Campbell Brown could have spent her time talking about some REAL sexism (and racism) in discussing how the media treats Michelle Obama. Now THAT would have been newsworthy. As far as Palin is concerned, she gets exactly what she deserves. She's a "pit bull with lipstick", let her fend for herself.

Campbell Brown is a fighter and we're lucky that her employer lets her speak her mind. Her editorial is delightfully subversive - fighting fire with fire.

Sarah Plain needs to take notes and actually become the "maverick" that her handlers have painted her as. She could learn a thing or two about patriotism and independence from Ms. Brown.

good on ya Campbell! keep up the pressure. You have our full attention.

...is the fact that hard hitting FEMALE reporters and commentators like Campbell Brown and Rachel Maddow are scoring hits whilst their male counterparts mostly spend time blow drying their hair and making small talk.

The time has got to come when voters come to the conclusion that Sarah has something to hide, if she continues to conceal herself and not speak to the public, except in prepared statements.

I'm sure Ms.Brown understands that they're not being sexist: they just know that Palin can't hold her own in real interviews. She's baiting the McCainiacs. And the McCainiacs are trying to stuff as much info and "experience" into Palin as they can before she does have to speak at the debates. So now, even though her meetings with the foreign dignitaries never got past polite introductions and pleasantries, she'll refer to her "meetings with foreign heads of state" in her debates with Biden. And some people will buy it.
