Bong Water Counts as an Illegal Drug?

From the AP:

In Minnesota, bong water can count as an illegal drug.

That decision from Minnesota's Supreme Court on Thursday raises the threat of longer sentences for drug smokers in that state who fail to dump the water out of bong — a type of water pipe often used to smoke drugs

The court said a person can be prosecuted for a first-degree drug crime for 25 grams or more of bong water that tests positive for a controlled substance.

Lower courts had held that bong water is drug paraphernalia. Possession of that is a misdemeanor crime.

The case involved a woman whose bong had about 2 1/2 tablespoons of liquid that tested positive for methamphetamine. A narcotics officer had testified that drug users sometimes keep bong water to drink or inject later.

The war on fun continues, despite some recent progress.

Digg!

Is the Times really this hard up for story ideas that they need multiple columnists writing about their adventures getting pot?

I'm giggling at the presumption that Minnesota's Supremes kept a straight face with this ruling

Got that?

Our country's sharpest legal minds
suffer absurdity awareness deficit.

& the vacuuming of your home for 'evidence'...

Don't forget to shave your heads...

don't be surprised if we eventually get a ruling that testing one's stray hair is 'good for the Corporate Nation's oversight.

I'm reminded of the KBR (yes *THAT* "who needs rights for victims of rape?" KBR!!) which took Canadian Human Rights to a provincial Supreme Court for the right to drug test employees in the Texas Lite KKKrude...

lovely.

Of course, we all know that Saskatchewan is jumping on the "We Love The Texas Oil & Jebus Prosperity" bandwagon... just in time to TRY TO ALLOW DENIAL OF SAME-SEX MARRIAGE IN SASKATCHWAN...

perspective, people.
Perspective.

Is it just me, or do you hear goosestepping from over the Border??
OBEY your OverLords... don't make us hurt you for your resources...

But if you dump it out, be careful where you dump it. If you dump it in the Pacific Ocean, for example, you might be charged with possession of a billion trillion tons of an illegal substance.

How can we get any more absurd?

Here in Washington state we even have a course at the state police academy that teaches them the finer points of testilying. I say we institute death by hanging for cop perjury.

Please excuse my English. I have no idea why marijuana is still criminal. Now is the time for legal weed. Nowadays, by smoking with a vaporizer, smoking weed is almost perfectly healthy. Vaporizers take away all the negative effects of marijuana. The best herbal vaporizers are now even cheap to buy and great to use. This administration claims to want change yet is not doing anything to reap from the tax potential of legal weed. I think legal weed is inevitable and necessary. The government can't continue trying to police something it can't control. Think about how safer our streets would be near South Texas and California where drug trafficing is common place.
