It looks like one of the staff at Liberty University has been caught.

A Liberty University chaplain is facing drug and burglary charges. Last week, a homeowner caught Scott Ray on surveillance video breaking into a home to steal painkillers. Ray, who is the chaplain for the men's basketball team and the Director of Convocation, is also suspected in other Campbell County break-ins. In 2005 he was arrested and charged with the same thing. Ray has been suspended by the school and it's believed he's checked into a rehab program. Investigators also say Ray has not yet been arrested but additional indictments are pending.

Now if only the rest of the staff could be charged with the greater crime of sowing ignorance…

Religious Wrong

It would be interesting to learn if the incidence of crimes related to the avowed sins, murder, theft, adultery, lying and cheating is greater among religious people than non-believers. I have often noticed that people who connot control their own behaviour are attracted to religion, particularly various forms of Christianity, because it is so easy to be forgiven, no matter what they do. In extreme cases their faith is used to justify their actions, as in "God told me to do it". I have also observed that the hyper religious, while they have little control over themselves, seek authoritarian control over others. It begins to look like mental illness. Perhaps it is time to stop referring to them as the religious "right" and apply a more truthful label - the religious wrong, and the wrong wing.

Unfortunately, it depends on which statistics are used, all of which can be manipulated or questioned.

A very interesting article worth reading because it throws into question both sides of the argument.

Another Commandment disgarded

Shit the Holey Rollers are disregarding the 10 Golden Rules like they have the Rights of the Constitution.
Let's see which commandments haven't they proven they have absolutely no regard for
Thou shall not kill- not when they are calling for Soldiers and Armies, 'Armed and Dangerous'- sounds like the Romans to me
One and Only One True God- not when you call for Premptive strike against Iran to start Armegeddon. Seems these folks think God is a Slacker.
Thou shall not Steal- How many 'evangelicals' work in Congress, on Wall Street, are funded by their 'Grassroots' organizations.
Bear False Witness- Countless transgressions on that one.
Covet their neighbors Wife- Lets' ask Ensign about that one.
Idol worship- that symbol of the Cross is not a reference to God, just a man or a fleshy vessel
Honor thy mother and Father- when it's been Repugs who have tried to destroy Medicare and SS for Decades?
Keep the Sabbath- If you are carrying on Political agendas at church, you are not holding that day sacred for the Worship of the Almighty.
Using Gods name - Well that appears to be what they do consistently since they rely on it to break all the others.
These Folks have proven they are heretics in their words and actions- there is no reason not to call them such, they have never hesitated to bandish it against others. Only difference is the True faithfuls will never be so brazen as to claim they will be judged 'sinners' and Damned to Hell- Too far above our 'pay scale' and abilities- not to mention being the most egregious form of Blasphemy.

The God that the RepubliTARDS always claim to have a right relationship with and who represent what is good and right and just about this (white) country is NOT the God I want to have anything to do with because THIS is who they REALLY are.

A Tendency

There seems a tendency for these folks to gravitate to pain killers. I mean, what they're all after is to be nailed up to a cross in emulation of their Sabiour, it is amazing more of them don't have to eat Oxycontin like candy. And, not for forget: Lush Rambo, King of the Pain Pills, the man who sent his housekeeper out to shop around until she found some quacks who'd write script for a corpse.
