More little news bits as we wait for the Election Contest Court's rulings:

-- MinnPost passes along Election Law Blog's Rick Hasen's verdict, as published at Slate, on Norm Coleman's equal-protection claim:  Namely, that it's pretty weak.  Well, duh.   Longtime FDL commenter Sara, who was around when the case law behind the Minnesota recount was established back in the 1960s, could have told him that.

-- During Vice President Joe Biden's appearance at St. Cloud, Minnesota, for a Middle Class Task Force town hall meeting, he said that "no state should have just one senator".  Hear, hear!

-- The Federal Elections Commission has decided that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee can set up a fund to benefit Al Franken in his recount fight with Norm Coleman.  However, they haven't yet determined if Franken can do so himself.  Coleman is seeking the FEC's permission to use his campaign cash to pay his own legal bills, including those from the Kazeminy lawsuits.

Digg!

OK Fox News. Here is a chance for once to show how "Fair and Balanced" you really are.

I've been waiting for Fox News to call Norm Colemen out on obstructing our Congress just like they called Al Gore out on holding up the presidency. I've been waiting for their "Fair and Balanced" outrage. Especially since this has gone on for many more months than the Al Gore episode.

I mean Norm said himself that he would bow out if it were him that was on th low side of the count. So I've also been expecting Fox News to call him out on that as well. I haven't got a chance to see that one yet either.

I do remember Fox News doing some attacking late last year against Franken for calling a recount. So I should be expecting an attack against Norm Colemen any time since he is obviously just dragging his feet and only trying to keep the seat vacant at this point.

I guess I should wonder why the other networks aren't really making a big stink about this, but then they weren't really ever the aggressors against Al Gore during his bid for reocunts nor were they aggressors against Franken against his initial bid for a recount.

So I'm just waiting for Fox News and there "Fair and Balanced" outrage against Colemen and his obstructionism.

I mean damn, I trust Fox News, they're "Fair and Balanced". And Bill O'reiley has absolutely no spin. I know so because he reminds me everytime I flip through his program. Just like a shark and a thief always tells me to trust them. But they're not a shark or a theif. They can't be, They're "Fair and Balanced". That doesn't sound like a shark or a theif or dishonesty.

Anyways, I'm just gonna keep waiting for Focks News to tell me the no spin on Colemen so I know the American people will also get to hear the outrage as well.

'Normie' Colman was installed via election fraud the first time & got away with it. Now he thinks he is entitled to the seat. I don't particularly like Franken but he has proven to be a fighter and he's darn sure not a sissy little whiny baby like Coleman.

The state of MN needs to get off it's ample arse and tell Coleman to kiss off already.

We the majority of Minnesotans voted for Al Franken. For crying out loud, swear Al in so he can start working for all of us.

the Repigs to take this election squabble to the U. S. Supreme Court. That's the only way Coleman gets this seat. (And he will, if past performances by this bunch of Opus Dei puppets are any indication!)
