Spitzer Kept His Black Socks on During Sex

Posted by Trish , Pensito Review at 10:37 AM on March 23, 2008.

The entire Spitzer scandal is one big exercise in demoralization, but this is just sad.

O.K., I have to admit I really don’t get strippers and prostitutes and lap dances and all that stuff, but I’m female so there you go. I mean, how do you pay for it and keep up the illusion in your mind that there’s anything but contemptuous nose-holding disdain going on in the mind of the payee? You know that this woman would not look at you twice if you weren’t giving her cash, so how much fun is that?

That said, wouldn’t you think that if you were in fact paying thousands and thousands of dollars to someone to have sex with you that you would at least be able to take off all your clothes -- socks included? Not if you’re Eliot Spitzer.

Almost four months before New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigned in a sex scandal, a lawyer for Republican political operative Roger Stone sent a letter to the FBI alleging that Spitzer “used the services of high-priced call girls” while in Florida.
The letter, dated Nov. 19, said Miami Beach resident Stone learned the information from “a social contact in an adult-themed club.” It offered one potentially identifying detail: The man in question hadn’t taken off his calf-length black socks “during the sex act.”
“…The governor has paid literally tens of thousands of dollars for these services. It is Mr. Stone’s understanding that the governor paid not with credit cards or cash but through some pre-arranged transfer,” the letter said.

“It is also my client’s understanding from the same source that Gov. Spitzer did not remove his mid-calf length black socks during the sex act. Perhaps you can use this detail to corroborate Mr. Stone’s information,” the letter said.

The entire Spitzer scandal is one big exercise in demoralization, but this is just sad. Roger Stone, legendary Republican consultant best known for the Willie Horton ad that helped put Bush I in the White House by its appeals to fear and racism, not to mention staging fake protests of the 2000 recount, was most recently behind a smarmy 527 out to smear Hillary Clinton. He’s also had a long-time feud with the Spitzer family. For him to be the one to expose Eliot Spitzer’s embarrassing sex life has to hurt.

Digg!

Apologize for Slavery

Should the Democrat Party Apologize for Slavery? No really! Should they apologize for giving us the Ku Klux Klan, Black Codes, Jim Crow Laws and other repressive legislation which resulted in the multitude of murders, lynchings, mutilations, and intimidations (of thousands of black ...Republicans)? On the issue of slavery: shouldn't they apologize for giving their lives to expand it? I'm just asking the question. I think it would be a great way to start talking about race in America. Putting the largest racist institution in American history behind us by having them apologize. What do you think?

Political assassination by the Justice Department...

Compare the case to numerous others - the judge in the NSA-linked prosecution of Qwest CEO Joseph Nacchio being a prime example, in his use of call girls from the Denver Players ring. He's still in office, no questions asked, no round-the-clock FBI surveillance.

The New York Times printed a good story on this: U.S. tactics against Spitzer relied on the most invasive FBI protocols

"The scale and intensity of the investigation of Mr. Spitzer, then the governor of New York, seemed on its face to be a departure for the Justice Department, which aggressively investigates allegations of wrongdoing by public officials, but almost never investigates people who pay prostitutes for sex.

"Government officials, including several who have been briefed on details of the case but declined to speak on the record because they were not authorized to discuss a continuing inquiry, said there was no alternative but to look into Mr. Spitzer’s activities once investigators began examining reports of suspicious transactions that banks filed with the Treasury Department. Those reports suggested to investigators that Mr. Spitzer might have been trying to keep anyone from noticing transfers of his own funds. That is the kind of activity that can bring an investigation of the possibility of corruption.

The reports led prosecutors and investigators to what some describe as a kind of crossroads. While they do not routinely investigate allegations concerning public officials who pay for sex, the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation regard public corruption as a high priority and routinely investigate allegations of even low-level wrongdoing.

“If the government gets a Suspicious Activity Report about a high-ranking public official, they would be negligent not to pursue it, if only to determine whether there was bribery or extortion involved,” said Robert D. Luskin, a defense lawyer and former federal prosecutor. Mr. Luskin said that as the case proceeds, the more difficult questions could well involve how the information about Mr. Spitzer became public and whether the government “will prosecute Spitzer if it doesn’t prosecute others in the same situation.”

The Treasury reports led federal investigators to the Emperor’s Club and Mr. Spitzer’s involvement with prostitutes, and later to the 47-page affidavit filed with the complaint that referred to him as Client 9.

Now we find it wasn't bank records at all, but tips made by a Republican political operative. . .a corrupt Justice Department carrying out political prosecutions...another hallmark of BushCo.

Spitzer-Silverstein Connection?

About a year ago I wrote to Mr. Spitzer asking him if there was any possibility of reoponing the 911 investigation; of course I did'nt receive a reply. Recently I 've read online that Spitzer and Larry Silverstein are friends and dine together. (Yes The Silverstein owner of the WTC complex). Perhaps like some things we read online, it may be a rumour. Well Mr. Spitzer has enough to worry about now, so I guess he won't be looking into a truthful 911 investigation. It seemed like a good idea at the time though. I'll keep trying there must be an honest politician out there somewhere.

Roger Stone Is Another Karl Rove

Read the Wikipedia entry on Roger Stone. He's the pos who orchestrated the bs demonstrations in Miami-Dade County after the 2000 election, helping bush beat Gore. SOB. The bastard is a sex-crazed mf who has a huge ego and no morals. Like rove, a young rethuglican who learned how to play dirty tricks as a child (and who enjoyed playing them on others). A huge nixon devotee. He is the one who outed Eliot Spitzer, and also who threatened his dad.
