As Jane noted yesterday,

Police in Denver arrested an ABC News producer today as he and a camera crew were attempting to take pictures on a public sidewalk of Democratic Senators and VIP donors leaving a private meeting at the Brown's Palace Hotel.

... Eslocker and his ABC News colleagues are spending the week investigating the role of corporate lobbyists and wealthy donors at the convention for a series of Money Trail reports on ABC World News with Charles Gibson.

See for yourself. Ugly stuff.

Good on you for facing down the man. Might make us believe they're really not some Newscorp clone sans the digeridoo shoved up their fundament.

Police are not, mentally, the same as most of us

A few years ago, in Eugene, OR; on the Sunday KLCC radio program about public affairs, they devoted a program to a recent series of police actions against protesters in the city (despite Eugene's reputation as a liberal city, the police are ANYTHING but that).

On the call-in that followed, a listener commented on police mentality, saying that he had had a relationship (boyfriend-girlfriend) with a female officer for a time. He commented on, from his experience in socializing with police personnel; the anti-social, adversarial, dominating, and violent mindset (any combination of these) of people who generally become police-persons. From his description of the mindset, it would appear that police (and by inference, security and military personnel) are different from the rest of us---and dangerous, whether by nature or nurture (or a combination of both). This video is just one more link in a chain of proof.

According to Andrzej M. Łobaczewski, author of "Political Ponerology---A Science on Evil Adjusted For Political Purposes" (a VERY good book, Alternet should recommend it!), approximately 8-15% of the human population is criminally psychopathic, and that these people generally migrate into two areas, politics and business. I would argue they also migrate to police, security and military positions also.

While 8-15% might not sound like a lot, take 10% of 6.5 billion---650 million people---enough to cause a LOT of trouble.

Maybe now the mainstream news people will realize that the police state has at last come for them too. Now all our news will be made up by ad agencies on behalf of the large multinational corporations that own our government.

There doesn't seem to be a physical fitness requirement to become a big meat headed cop. Hey, lyrics revision for the meathead: If you don't know, you're asking to be told. If you had his butt you'd crown it the queen of soul!

comforting to know that Denver's Finest know how to read ABC on a Press Badge or are secure enough in their dominance to not care

indeed... the only thing corrupt MONEY & POWER have learned is to *create a perimeter* & prevent video documentation of events...
to create a 'GreenZone' of embedded media.

I belief that underlying the desire of today's every cop to be, whether in a major metropolitan area or in small towns and villages, is to exert brutalizing powwer and pain on anyone would so much as even remotely change their authority. They no better than Hitler. Brown Shirted thugs.The close cropped hair and the absolute boorish, loutish misanthropic is the attitude that they bring to EVERY SITUATION from a drunk and disorderly call or a routine traffic stop. Many of these sub-humanoids are racist, bullying over-armed and under-brained and are less than a half step away from Aryan-Nation-White-Supremacists-cross-burning-
skinheaded-too-stupid-even-for-Blackwater recruitment.

protect their own convention from the radical right. The Coors family keeps Colorado stirred up with right wing nuts. The wealthy are controlling the United States. Democracy is dead.

I regularly meet people who hold no hope for the United States. Barak Obama will lose the election if he does not hold a 65% rating in the polls on halloween. If he does lose many people will need to leave the United States just as Germans fled the Nazis. The problem is that only the wealthy can flee with the dollar so worthless. As of yet the wealthy needn't flee from themselves. They will, of course, have to leave eventually. They don't want to live in a place that has been spoiled.

...these must have. There is real potential for a Rodney King moment, although given what happened to the NYC officers that killed Shawn Bell it simply must embolden these types. What we need are command structures that simply do not tolerate this kind of behavior from those who we the people pay their salary.

Criminal Conspiracy and Complicity to Commit Treason Charges!
Posted by: Bearzerker on Sep 1, 2008 9:02 PM
Current rating: Not yet rated    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Is a sad state of MSM affairs when the public must get their news from fake news programs!

I would like to see criminal conspiracy and complicity to commit treason charges
leveled at all the top executives of all Corporate controlled MSM news outlets,
and be taken immediately!

Why?... because they took pages directly from Joseph Goebbels play book;
1.)by assisting in the subversion of truth, in order to lead us into war.
2.)support in diverting TRILLIONS of taxpayers dollars and by profiting in this action.
3.)by supporting GRAFT, GREED & CORRUPTION
3.)material and emotional support of illegal detention and torture, plus condoning these activities including against their own [eg. competitors reporters photographers etc.]
4.)and by providing material and logistical Intelligence and Support contrary to existing conventions knowing that this will effect future war correspondents ability to perform their duties.

and all this was done for one reason... for the bottom line! ...PROFIT!...

But what really pisses me off is,
how the corporate executives running this dog and pony show made it look so ...[sl]easy...
SOMETHING/ANYTHING... MUST BE DONE!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Joseph Goebbels' Quotes;
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The
lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."
"It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion."
"During a war, news should be given out for instruction rather than information."
"The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We must ensure a quality control mechanism to
eliminate Propaganda emanating from government agencies.

This can easily be done by revoking broadcasting rights to broadcast News information. News should never be infotainment trivalised for the bottom line, news reporting is a serious business and should be classified as such by being a privilege to broadcast... that being by issuing licenses that is separate from their regular broadcast licenses!

Simply put... a broadcast license fee structure should be reviewed yearly and with bottom line penalties for corporate structures that do not have regulated news coverage, rewarding those that do have licensed news reporting by being exempt from the yearly somberquete.

News licensing guidelines must be enforced to ensure non-governmental interference in the future, their-fore the licensing body MUST BE non-political.
[Don't need a repeat of Colin Powell's son issuing broadcast licenses now do we, never forget that]
To much damage has been brought through the corporate streamlining of news and information sources to our societies detriment, action is needed now.
Crimes have been perpetrated by and through this medium, and the sheeple "DO" care!

to all the Patrick Fitzgerald's out there... where are you?
now... right NOW... is your time!
