Dick Cheney Embraces "Go F*ck Yourself," Historically Low Approval Numbers

Dick appears physically incapable of regret, which, in case you didn't know, is actually rather common among the Undead.

WALLACE: Did you tell Senator Leahy, "bleep yourself"?

CHENEY: I did.

WALLACE: Any qualms, second thoughts, or embarrassment?

CHENEY: No, I thought he merited it at the time and we've since patched over that wound.

As revealing as that exchange was, this one's even more illuminating:

Host Chris Wallace also asked Cheney if he was bothered by his outgoing approval ratings - a dismal 29 percent.

"We didn't set out to achieve the highest level of polls that we could during this administration," Cheney said. "Eventually you wear out your welcome in this business."

Is that so?

Let's see -- the last three 2-term presidents were Clinton, Reagan and Eisenhower. Clinton left with a 66% approval rating, Reagan, 63% and Eisenhower, 59%. So, no Dick, you only "wear out your welcome" when you totally wreck the country.

But don't you also love the way Dick equates low popularity with good governance, as though, in a democratically-elected republic, having a majority of the electorate think you're doing a good job is somehow bad. In other words, 70% of the American people are idiots.

Hey, Dick? Go fuck yourself.

Digg!

Cheney has a 29% approval rating!?!? That's too damn high! What the f***? That is saying that almost a 1/3 of all Americans actually APPROVE of this pus-infested cancerous tumor!

His approval rating should be 2.9% instead. (That is 2-POINT-9 percent.)

No, that is way too high still. NO ONE, let alone almost a third of all American -- let me repeat -- NO ONE should even be able to even THINK of Cheney without projectile vomiting.
I almost go into cardiac arrest each time I think of the demon master.

I would tell Cheney to go f*** himself. But he probably deserves to get laid less than anyone else in existence, even if only by himself.

Bye bye, asshole. Good riddance!

Okay, Dick, since that's how you feel...

GO FUCK YOURSELF! Seriously, fuck you!

Oh, and I don't believe those approval ratings. Last I heard, they were in single digits... I seriously doubt they went UP.

Fucking liar, too.

I guess its ok then then to say that Cheney is nothing but a maniacal, scat-throwing, toe nail eating baboon, who for eight years helped W throw sh-t on the Constitution, our country, and the world. Well maybe I am being hard on the baboons.
No doubt to me that Cheney will get away with his war crimes. He'll make a bundle of money writing a book and giving speeches to gullible neo-cons.
I can think of one good thing to come out of these past eight years though. A young generation of voters came of age and stood their ground. Maybe we need to be occasionally reminded of evil, so that we may remain vigilant against it.

Why He's Called Dick

Cheney's behavior reminds me of a serial killer taunting the police, families of his victims and decent people generally--which is exactly what it is. He's remorseless, shameless and defiant to the end. I hope he'll get plenty of chances to hear his words over and over, used as evidence against him in court.

He is known as Dick because he has a head with no hair, no brain and no vision, is supported by a Bush, and screws or pisses on everyone he can.

This Administration may have the lowest approval ratings of US history.

Yes, they are incompetent, corrupt, ignorant of History and arrogant.
This government is worse than we could imagine.

That is not their fault.

There are many people walking the world who are incompetent, ignorant of History and arrogant. But no sane person would put them in charge of anything.

It is the fault of the 51% electorate who put them into government.

In a democracy, the responsibility lies with the electorate.

In the famous saying...it takes two to be held responsible. Well, we all know whose ass that was! Metaphors are great, especially in comedy writing and who doesn't disserve it more then these two jokers. In other words, they have been a joke and will always be remembered as one. The problem is...the hard working American people, widows alike, fathers, mothers, and innocent children were the only ones who got F***ked by these too.

Since I was "exiled" from Propeller, I find it difficult to articulate the words I used to describe them both. They are now clean, patriotic, and care for our nation like Hitler did of Austria, where he was born. That was one of the very first "sovereign" nations he attacked.

If weapons were his mandate, bet your last pair of jammies Bush would have bombed them too...

Anyone know the meaning of the word of heresy? Bush and Cheney know. Now about "sovereign," neither Bush nor Cheney seem to know what the word means.

And Our beloved prez can still kiss my 82nd Airborne ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheney is not a lawyer but his top aid, David Addington is. Addington is probably the single most person responsible for bending the law and the Constitiution to suit Cheneys criminal behavior. I encourage everyone to read Jane Mayers excellent book, "The Dark Side" for a history of the Cheney administration.

The worst of the worst

Cheney belongs in prison. Who does he think he is to be walking around free making comments about anything at all? It is an outrage that there has not yet been a trial.

The words "high crimes and misdemeanors" were meant to be applied to Bush and Cheney - so far have they pushed the limits, and embodied the terms. Bush belongs in prison. Bush is worse than Hoover. Cheney is worse than both Judas and Benedict Arnold.

Where is the public outrage? Where are the trials for their War Crimes and Environmental Crimes Extraordinaire? Where are their trials for fraud, for lying, for manufacturing evidence to fool and force the U.S, the UK and the so called "coalition of the willing" to go to war? Where are their trials for allowing innocent lives to be lost after Katrina? Where are their trials for having hoodwinked the public, bought out the media and most of the Republicans and some of the Democrats - and stealing our Constitutional rights and freedoms for eight long, dark, unbearable years?

Where are their trials for the deaths of thousands of brave men and women who went, with good intentions, to Iraq only to lose their lives for Bush and Cheney's war for oil? Where are their trials for the deaths of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians?

Let's clear out Guanatanamo, and send Cheney, Bush, Gonzalez, Rove, et al there indefinitely for life. Let's put them somewhere where they can play checkers, read books, and not hurt anyone else again. As Bush and Cheney said it is the place for the "worst of the worst" and no one fits that term more than they.

Then let's clean up our voting machines so we can be certain we can always have fair elections again. And, then let's get on with repairing the trail of tears - the unconscionable debt - the mayhem - the environmental destruction - and all the rest of the devastation the dishonorable Bush administration left for generations yet to come to clean up and rectify.

I was going to post a comment about Cheney, but you know what, he's not worth it. This is, however: He is not the only politician who will say they don't make their decisions by poll. They are all wrong. In a democracy, they SHOULD vote according to the will of the people they represent. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't vote for someone to go to Washington to vote as he/she pleases, but as the majority dictates. Isn't that what a representative does, represent? If not, throw him out and get someone who does the will of his constituents.

Cheney claims the "war on terror" is equivalent of World War II or the Civil War

The fat-faced liar told the news media that the threat facing the US the past eight years is equivalent to the threat posed by the Axis powers in World War II or the emergency posed by the South's effort to secede in the 1860s. What total rubbish, used to deceive the American public and justify the squandering of trillions of US taxpayer dollars on two unnecessary wars.

This is why I no longer pay attention to polls. The approval rating for Cheney, one of the most reviled men in America, cannot possibly be 29%. Moving the decimal point one place to the left might make the result more accurate, but he is, most certainly, not still liked by nearly one-third of our population.

Personally, I'd apply Cheney's most famous quote to what I think about pollsters.
