Bush's outrageous camparison of Obama to appeasers of pre-war Hitler should not be permitted to recede from our collective consciousness. So vile, so brazenly political are these remarks, so outside the appropriate limits of presidential propeiety, for this horror of a president to besmirch Obama's stated intentions to confront our enemies directly.

Americans everywhere should be embarrassed that we allow this man to be our president.

Like anybody who isn't schizophrenic listens to the shrub! Our president is a lying bag of bile headed for anonymity, and everybody who isn't clinically mentally ill knows it too. However, he probably had the Likudniks eating out of his paw since they're just as venomous and delusional as he is on the subject of Iran. Bush prides himself on his unwillingness to listen to anybody other than Karl Rove and his entourage of psychopathic sycophants. In other words, he's probably finally located the only audience left in the world for him, mentally capable of responding to the applause signs being flashed behind his podium. For my part, I'm glad we're heading for a new set of leaders who seem capable of listening to our friends and our enemies. The only question left is whether we can we dump this chump before he can trigger another international atrocity like Iraq?

I find it extraordinary that President Bush has learned nothing over the past 7.5 years. He has had a free hand to implement his foreign and domestic policy. The US and the World are the worse for it.

Why continue the imperial approach to problem solving? Or is it problem initiating?

We are not only broke, we are ass deep in debt from trying to finance these bully on the block policies. Foreign sovereign wealth funds are buying US assets wholesale. We don't have the money to maintain our infrastructure, or invest in our human capital.

Our military has been shamefully exploited, and broken down with so many repeat tours of duty to Iraq and Afganistan. The injured veterans are being shamefully short changed in care and benefits.

The economy exists on debt slavery, not production. We cannot meet our personal debts or the debts you have run up for our children and grandchildren.

How does it benefit anyone if in vanquishing your enemy, you destroy your own people. We are being destroyed, George. Maybe not you and your rich friends, but ordinary people are in decline. You have been playing tough guy, and we have been taking the punches.

I WANT a president who is a Statesman. Who will understand the military is a last resort, to be used if there is no common ground, who believes in peaceful coexistence. Someone who CAN TALK, and LISTEN.

Who will do the best he can by his people, not his ego.

To be fair, I believe we must admit, Bush has a point. The Democrats have been talking to and cutting deals with murderous criminals and enemies of the U.S. Constitution since they gained majority status and it has not done a bit of good. This is the part of President Bush's speech that Obama is objecting to. Please read it before you blindly parrot what the media is saying.

There are good and decent people who cannot fathom the darkness in these men and try to explain away their words. It's natural, but it is deadly wrong. Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: "Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided." We have an obligation to call this what it is -- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history. (Applause.)

Some people suggest if the United States would just break ties with Israel, all our problems in the Middle East would go away. This is a tired argument that buys into the propaganda of the enemies of peace, and America utterly rejects it. Israel's population may be just over 7 million. But when you confront terror and evil, you are 307 million strong, because the United States of America stands with you. (Applause.)
