The D.C. City Council held a hearing yesterday on a bill allowing same-sex couples to marry in the nation’s capital. However, the hearing was briefly interrupted when witness Andy Hertzberg stopped to propose to his partner. “I would like to take a huge step in my own life,” Hertzberg said. “Andy [Rollman], I’d like to ask you: Will you marry me?” One marriage equality opponent was outraged that they would show their love for one another, saying that for “something like this” to happen in the Council’s chambers, it showed a lack of “respect.” According to the local ABC report, however, most council members were supportive of the proposal. Well, things seem to be silly most of the time. Same-sex marriage is one of the most controversial thingy nowadays. Anyway, that thing is really shameful. Cookie Johnson jeans, or CJ jeans, is a company launched by Cookie Johnson, wife of Magic Johnson, that sells high end designer denim to real women – i.e., those with a little more curve. The pants are carried at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, and Neiman Marcus. She launched the clothing line with Michael Glasser. Johnson wanted to create denim that caters to women who are "fit, but curvy" and the Oprah bump is going to move a lot of denim. That said, Cookie Johnson Jeans are a bit expensive, so you might need a payday loan for a pair.

...how the government can dictate how a church does it's business. If some church wanted to marry same sex couples how can the government interfere with that without smashing through that old wall of separation? Do we officially recognize the marriage status of Sheiks who have many wives? We certainly wouldn't let the Mormons do the same thing!
If God is love, then when people fall in love it is a gift from God. THAT, in itself, should be enough.

you can illegally kidnap and export for torture, you can bomb innocent civilians of other sovereign nations from the safety of your office thousands of miles away, you can lie and cook phony evidence to illegally invade and occupy other countries for their resources but it is considered imoral to join with another of the same sex. that's fucked up.
