Rice Refuses to 'Interrupt Her Holidays' to Deal with Georgian Conflict

I'd blame it on her boss setting a bad example.

When she should be traveling abroad to work with allies to deal with the ongoing fallout from Russia’s invasion of Georgia, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has instead been “noticeably absent.” AP reports she is busy with other plans:

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has also been noticeably absent on the diplomatic scene, having failed to interrupt her holidays to fly to Tbilisi in support of the Georgian government.

Instead senior State Department official, Matthew Bryza, who oversees the Caucasus region was sent, two days later than planned, to join a joint EU-US mediation effort to win a ceasefire.

State Department spokesman Robert Wood said Rice made more than 90 calls this weekend to discuss the situation in Georgia.

Rice... what a waste of time to ask her to do anything

about this crisis. She's obviously been in "over her head" ever since she first joined this administration.

The amazing thing is, she's supposed to be an expert on Russia! So, when we have the first URGENT need of her so-called "expertise" under the Bush Regime, she's a "no-show." Can't be bothered to leave her vacation. Wow.

So, not only do we have a LAME duck occupant of the White House, apparently his entire Regime is Lame, as well.

What would be truly shocking is if anyone in this Regime really gave a rat's ass about governing this country.

Knowing that she chooses not to be involved or consulted comes as a great relief to me. Rice may well be an expert on Russia, but she's no match for Putin. He told Bush to stay out of it and that request probably included Rice. I do agree with Qanna that she's insulted at having been left out of the Olympics. She hasn't been included in all the Bush family fun in many months. ANNA

for a Secretary of State or National Security Advisor that the US has ever had. I don't know how she got her job or how she kept her job but it isn't due to her job performance because she has shown she can't do anything right. Since everything that the Bush Administration touches turns to shit it is probably a good thing that she stays away.

Rice is nothing but a high-class whore.

I don't mean who she fucks, I mean the lies she tells on behalf of her imbecile boss. Her credibility is lower than whale shit. Good riddance to her sorry ass as well as those of the rest of the criminals.
