The U.S. Army confirms that Stephen Colbert, host of Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report,” has arrived in Iraq to tape a week of shows. Colbert’s trip is dubbed “Operation Iraqi Stephen: Going Commando.” The visit was organized by United Service Organisations (USO), which arranges entertainment and support for American troops overseas. “The USO counts this as military service, right?” Colbert said in a press release. “I might want to run for office some day.”

But then again in Cheney's book - It's not if You ever served that counts- only how many other people were made to under your nefarious foreign policies.

Colbert claims that the military in Iraq has been forgotten. He's right. He's about to change all that and in the process make alot of people laugh. He goes bearing gifts and I'm sure a few cheap shots at everbody who's anybody. They're all fair game. Can't wait to watch it. ANNA

And I'm sure many of you will, :-) but I keep having this vision of soldiers all over the world putting down their weapons while saying "NO MORE". Maybe their beginning to look at exactly how they got there and WHY. Maybe, but only if we want to still have a world.

and, my apologies, I can't remember who said it.

"War will end when people decide they love peace more than they hate war."
