Giuliani Abandons 9/11 Heroes

This is the real Rudy Giuliani. A man who wants to be President and has 9/11 Tourette's Syndrome.
Brave New Films: Rudy Abandons 9/11 Heroes

Sadly, you already know much of the real story about The Real Rudy. That he chose to put his anti-terrorist command center in the only spot in New York City that had been hit by terrorists before, against the advice of every professional and his own people, because The World Trade Center was more convenient for him.

Furthermore, you're aware that his inaction in updating the radios used by firefighters who perished that day borders on the criminal. He knew the radios didn't work at least 8 years before that day, and when he finally chose to replace them, did so in grand Bushian style with a no-bid contract for radios that didn't work.

Yet, these were not even the worst aspects of Giuliani's 9/11 record. He completed this triumvirate of tragically inept behavior by ignoring the health of the very heroes who toiled day and night at Ground Zero after the attack. Nothing I could tell you here could prepare you for what you're about to watch--once healthy human beings now suffering from a range of illnesses that are a direct result of a toxic brew they inhaled in downtown Manhattan, while Rudy was telling them everything was safe and sound from his perch at Yankee Stadium and they were spending sleepless nights trying to save lives (often not wearing respirators because The Giuliani Adminstration ignored that federal requirement).

This is the Real Rudy Giuliani. A man who wants to be President and has 9/11 Tourette's Syndrome. Well, every time he heartlessly utters that simple phrase to try and help his flagging political career, let's make sure people shake their heads in disgust, because they know the true story of Rudy Giuliani the 9/11 failure.

And one more thing. Please sign the petition, demanding that Rudy meet with 9/11 first responders he has chosen to heretofore ignore. It is the very least this man could do.

Digg!

According to Guiliani there is only one 9/11 hero: himself.

Communications system overhauls can be outrageously expensive

And require the kind of investment into public infrastructure that runs up debts, require more money from the populace. In other words, something no conservative would ever advocate for. Talk about drowning spending in a bathtub.

What a difference a day makes

On September 10, 2001, the Mayor was "toast" to his city. His support and poll numbers showed it and they were in the toilet. He was in the middle of a messy divorce and it looked like his public life was headed for oblivion. There is no doubt that he led his city thru the trauma of the next day and the weeks and months to follow. The New York police and fire departments have not endorsed this candidate, in deed, they have come out bitterly against him for a variety of reasons, but his overall leadership cannot be denied.

Rudy likes to "point" to all of his NYC accomplishments and a closer look shows that he credits himself too much. To his credit, unlike our president, Rudy brought in good people but when they started looking too good they were dismissed. That's why he liked and became so close to Kerik, he was a "yes Rudy" associate all the way and we know how that turned out.

Rudy Giulliani is a one pony show. If he can talk about terror, and 9/11 that's all he can do. The GOP Presidential bench is extremely weak and I honestly can't see him beating anyone right now on the other side.

reason for location of command center?

Has anyone considered that Giuliani wanted the command center in the WTC complex because it
could then be used to control the Global Hawk
systems in the airliners and the detonation sequencing of the explosives in the Towers.
All evidence could then be destroyed in the WTC7 demolition. The day before 911 Giuliani was running a FEMA drill, Tripod II, in the WTC area so they would be ready to move in and secure the crime scene on 9/11. What a guy.

My brother suffers tremendously from Tourette's syndrome. It is a serious neurological disorder and extremely debilitating. I really wish people wouldn't use it as a pejorative.
