Stephen covers the double standard which the media has given a black pastor, by ironically labeling him as an anti-American racist, while giving hateful bigots like Robertson and Falwell a free pass to say much worse. After 9/11, Reverend Wright correctly recognized that we were experiencing blowback from the terrorism our government had previously committed in the Middle East. Robertson and Falwell however, placed the blame on American citizens (specifically Feminists, Pagans, the ACLU, and anyone who's ever watched Will & Grace).

Where is the media outrage regarding McCain's embrace of these "agents of intolerance"? With such an apparent racial double standard and his good name tarnished for speaking the truth, I wonder if Geraldine Ferraro also thinks Reverend Wright is as lucky to be black as Barack Obama is.

“Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran” McCain stands by the sentiment he expressed when he sang that song, He pictures 100 years of war for us. Yet he is given a pass on that because he is such a nice guy. Further, Hagee acknowledges McCain sought His endorsement. Louis Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright are not running big political machines. John Hagee is. Via his lobby Christians United for Israel, he assembles the most aggressive of the Armageddonist Christian Zionists into a considerable political force who are beating the drums of war with Iran. John McCain and his supporter Joe Lieberman have calculated that CUFI (Christians United for Israel) is a necessary constituency for his presidential ambitions. It seems we pick some dangerous people with whom we prefer to have a beer: first Bush Jr, now McCain.

Rod Parsley

And can any Republican in their right mind (if there are any left out there)tell me why it is acceptable for McCain to accept the endorsement of Rod Parsley, tbe Pentacostal preacher from Ohio, who advocates nothing less than the mass extermination of one-fourth of the world's population just because they happen to be Muslim? How can this be any less offensive than remarks Wright has made? Wright wants people to think. He does not advocate genocide, the goal of Rod Parsley and his ilk.

it takes to get votes... much like Hillary. The very reason I would never vote for either one of them.

Liebermann is McPAIN's VP choice

They are connected at the hip these days. EVERY time I see McPAIN, Liebermann is at his right shoulder. In a CREEPY way. Patronizing smile glued to his face, like a son waiting for dear old dad to crook or become incapable so he can jump in and take over running the 'company'. Lord knows at McPAIN's age that is a very very good possibility. Liebermann, McCAIN, Hellary, ALL long to be president and will do anything to get there. Washington insiders they make Obama that much more attractive to voters sickened by business as usual.

I stumbled into a rabid right wing blog last year, long before McPain got the nomination. The repugs were laughing with glee at the prospect of a McCain/Liebermann ticket. They said, "it will send Hillary and others running for the hills."

Hagee the HORRIBLE

The most troubling of all is Rev Hagee whose support of Isarel is mererly to facilitate the
process of he and his loyal followers being Raptured up to Heaven PRIOR to Armageddon and the total destruction of those Jews who do NOT recognize Jesus and all others who likewise do not accept Christ .
Even more curious to me is the idea that this preacher condems the Catholic Church as the Whore of Babylon and then denies his anti Catholic attitude saying it has been exagerated and yet we have all these Reagan "Blue Collar" Republicans who are Catholics accepting it .
