Burger King: Burgers, Blow Jobs -- What's the Difference?

Posted by Melissa McEwan, Shakesville at 2:47 PM on June 24, 2009.

Burger King has done it again with a new ad that Copyranter describes as "the new leading 'most overtly blow-jobby ad' I've ever seen."

Burger King, whose adverts have previously featured in this series not once, not twice, not thrice, but four times, has done it again with a new ad that Copyranter describes as "the new leading 'most overtly blow-jobby ad' I've ever seen."

[Click to embiggen.]

Fill your desire for something long, juicy and flame-grilled with the NEW BK SUPER SEVEN INCHER. Yearn for more after you taste the mind-blowing burger that comes with a single beef patty, topped with American cheese, crispy onions and the A1 Thick & Hearty Steak Sauce.

It's hard to identify what the best part of this ad is. The appalling lack of subtlety (OPEN MOUTH: INSERT MEAT: HAR HAR!)? The globby mayonnaise suggesting cum? The human woman made up and posed to maximize a resemblance to a blow-up doll? Christ. What a clusterfucktastrophe.

I would argue that BK should be ashamed of themselves, but they clearly lack the capacity.

Digg!

is SUCH fun.

You have seen the "king" in the BK ads, haven't you? Someone at BK, &/or its advertising agency, has a very tweaked sense of humor. They haven't been fired, so I suspect it's working for them.

Face it: this stuff is pretty funny.

It's just an ad. Gauche and gross, it is. But give 'em this- BK sure knows their audience.

The ad is geared at women who love to blow. But it would turn off heterosexual guys. Millions of gay men have been stimulated by the ad and are cruising Burger King toilets.

No woman would EVER eat one of those things...this is guy food. Hence the ad is very funny, even though repulsive. Heck THE SANDWICH is repulsive. Garf! Mayo, a ton of bacon, ground beef and only the King knows what else, coupled with about a zillion calories. Good luck on this one.

I thought you had bigger fish to fry.

The use of sex in advertising is not news. That story broke some sixty years ago. Or perhaps earlier. (The White Rock girl?)

And Americans are not exactly legendary for having 'good taste.' (Do a wardrobe check at your next Repblican rally.... Where to those darlings shop?)

You're better than this. Take a cold shower, get dressed, go out in the world, and see what's actually happening. I'm sure you'll find something to write about.

I used to joke that Burger King's ad men (or should I say 'ad boys'?)
used to do Carl's Jr.'s overtly stoner and/or lascivious ads.
Then someone told me it was true.

It all makes sense now....

Most TV ads are now written for and by college aged slackers.
So we shouldn't be surpised really....

when I make light of these same things with my little homespun humorous stories, they seem to evoke the terms "vile" and "disgusting" from some...and I just recently had a post removed because it didn't meet the standards! REALLY!!! I think that some folks on Alt have a real problem with all things sexual. Unfortunately, some of them are moderators...

I like BK's food (best fast food burgers on the market) and I like the ad (it does its job -- witness your free dissemination [Beavis & Butthead: heh-heh-heh] thereof) and I have no sympathy for people who whine about such things as though they assume the public totally lacks judgement or discernmnet.

Get a life.

What you see here is ultimately more about you than anything else. I mean, you see what you want to see, what you're looking for, are obsessed with, etc. Having said that, it's not hard to imagine some BJ obsessed, male ad execs putting this one together... I'm amazed by how stuck at age 14 so many males are in this country. They're all so Beavis and Buttheed like... "Huh-huh... You said..." There's so much more to sexuality... subtleties I doubt they ever get to be aware of let alone experience... probably because some idiot they respected or feared in their youth told them it wasn't "manly" or something.

Personally I've never had a BJ that could compare to genuine flagrante with a woman who really wanted me... Most women give men BJs because they aren't really into being with them all the way... it ends the bleating and pleading and pressure for sex for a while and gives them some time to regroup, get some sleep or to slip away. Taking all our cues from outside sources (churches, laws) that define what is "normal" has reduced what should be one of the high points of being alive for both genders into boring mediocrity for the most part or some loathsome "duty" that's part of a contract.

WHICH IS BUT ANOTHER SAMPLE OF
A CULTURE OF EDUCATED FOOLS

Burger king maddness

These non-think bad taste show their lack of talent and there corporate committee ad and marketing refugees for the school of the brain dead.

They have created the ultimate in mediocre communication of why we should eat spoiled food with enough salt, sugar and reconstituted ingredients to make even a cockroach sick.

I say like all bad food put "it/them" in the tolit and flush it.
