Tina Fey As Sarah Palin: Katie Couric SNL Skit

Posted by Melissa McEwan, Shakesville at 9:02 AM on September 29, 2008.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler spoof the Palin/Couric interview (as if it needed spoofing).

Tina Fey's impersonation of Palin is just amazingly spot-on. Amy Poehler's of Katie Couric, not so much. But, hey -- they can't all be winners.

What do you think readers? Thumbs up or thumbs down?

I'm hoping that this selection means the president-elect is going to put some much-needed emphasis on global human rights.

Oh, this is TOO easy.
The Alaskan Breeder's image is slowly unravelling, so that these skits get closer to reality each time.

Dog help us.

"Tina Fey Nails Sarah Palin (Again)" sounds like the movie that played just after "The Bush Doctrine" at the theater in Times Square.

Amy Poehler maintained that vague puzzled look just the way Couric did. Borderline disbelief. How do they keep from lauging at each other? Their performance was priceless. ANNA

Do you laugh or do you cry? McCain has truly revealed his contempt for the voters with this pick. I wonder if he has enough humility and self-awareness to regret this decision.....opps...who am i kidding?
Did you ever think that anyone could possibly make Bush appear even remotely insightful and presidential? The GOP found an even greater idiot.. Amazing.

Anyway, the impersonation IS fantastic...scary but fantastic.

The horror of this skit is that it may very well be true. Tina Fey is remarkable. Can she win an Oscar for this? A solid, gold one.
