In a rare candid moment, Karl Rove admitted that Sarah Palin "is not the most qualified candidate" and that she was a "political pick." However, he added that he had no qualms about her ability to lead.

Speaking with the Associated Press after appearing at a health care conference in Orlando, Florida, the Republican puppeteer predicted, ""Nothing lasts for 60-some-odd days," Rove told The Associated Press. "Will she be the center of attention in the remaining 48 days? No, but she came on in a very powerful way and has given a sense of urgency to the McCain campaign that's pretty remarkable."

Maybe he'll disappear with Carly.

However, I don't doubt for a moment that this ridiculous person has some childish and likely immoral reason for saying palin is unqualified. It would be difficult to find a better example of 'self-serving' than rove, except, of course, in the current administration. Whenever Rove opens his mouth, open your umbrella. Rove might have spoken a truth - or a half-truth: "not the most qualified" - not even close to qualified is more like it. This is a person who lied to Scott McClellan about his involvement in revealing the identity of a covert CIA anti-nuclear proliferation operative. This is a person who fed talking points to Fox News and used it as a propaganda arm of the White House for many years. This is a person who fled the country instead of appearing before the US Congress to give testimony under oath. This is a person who supposedly acts as a political analyst on Fox News, supposedly thinks McCain's recent ad went beyond the 100% truth test, thus separating himself from the McCain campaign, while he has been meeting with his trainees in the McCain campaign on a regular basis until the present. Has he suddenly broken all contact with his associates within the campaign? Or is this just another Rove tactic? What do you think? They know taxes will have to go up, and our standard of living will decline. Then with the typical 2 second American attention they can resort to their old tactics, and do this all again which equals profit for them and theirs, and more misery for us. He isn't worthy of the energy it takes to utter his name. My energy is going to be focused on getting Obama elected because as hesitant as I am to even elect a Beltway Democrat I would never support Rove, McCain or anyone who aligns themselves with that side of the law. Ruthless, greedy, power-mongers who have no remorse. It is truly a sickness which will continue to eat away at their souls. How in the world can any semi-informed person buy into anything the Republicans have to say? I have got to believe we are smarter than that because the alternative is horrific.
