A pool reporter asked John McCain what he thought of high-profile surrogates Cathy Fiorina's assertion that it's unfair for insurance companies to cover Viagra and not birth control. The shorter John McCain: "I certainly do not wanna discuss that issue . . ."

pretty funny but considering people are having a hard enough time to get medical coverage for life threatening diseases why on earth would they think this is an issue worth wasting medical $$$ for. ED is a medical problem, birth control isn't! Buy a condom!

... thing I've seen in ages. Rollins (repub strategist) called it the most awkward moment he's seen in 40 years.

I'm surprised at the lack of comments. This item is lighting up the airwaves and the internets.

best laugh I've had in years. If McSame gets elected, America is finished - and deserves to be.

That the reporter that asked the question will be allowed within 100 yards of McCain again?

Medical Insurance also pays for

Face lifts, breast enhancements, liposuction, etc. to make women more appealing to the men who are taking the Viagra. But here's the truth, and I will state it as crudely as I feel comfortable with:
It is PERFECTLY OK for Insurance Companies to pay for Viagra for MEN and not pay for Birth Control for women because:
A man is NOT a man unless he can get "hard" and a woman is NOT a woman unless she is "barefoot, pregnant, and cooking his dinner". A MAN NEEDS his woman pregnant so all his friends and acquaintances can see, with their own eyes, that HE'S THE MAN!!!

A Nitwit and a Nitpick

Lindsay Beyerstein, who posted this to Alternet, obviously doesn't know who Carly Fiorina is - it's definitely not "Cathy". That's the nitpick.
The Nitwit is there to see, and I hope everybody who is even remotely thinking about voting in November sees this little episode of a "man" who cannot think on his feet. He's just a temporizing gray squirrel.

MCCAIN IS A GOVERNMENT BRAT

John McCain has been sheltered from life as most of us know it for all of his life. His father was a career Navy man, an officer and had a well deserved good life. But children who grow up this way are unaware of plain everyday stuff that comprise most lives. MCCain followed the same path. He knows nothing of health insurance. He has never had the financial responsibilities that go with mariage & children. He REALLY doesn't know. Just like Bush. Not very presidential. ANNA
