Barack has to convince the undecided that he is not an Angry Black Man who Hates America. Calling McCain a war criminal, while entirely defensible, gains him nothing and probably hurts him. The last three times that a Presidential candidate who had arguably been heroic in war ran (Bush Sr, '92; Dole, '96; Kerry, '04) they lost to noncombatants. McCain's war record ain't what's gonna beat us. Just convince people not to fear Barack and tie McCain and Bush closer together than Dukakis and Willie Horton ever were, and we should be fine.

Let McCain tell his POW story The sad thing is that the American people are getting tired of it. He's clearly USING it and too many people lost someone in the Viet Nam war. They didn't come home at all. 58,000+. They can't appreciate hearing this over and over again. McCain did indeed come home. Many did not. He might just have a little respect for those who were not as fortunate as he was. Thanks, ANNA

Why isn't anyone taking about the reliable stories on the Internet from former McCain's POWs that McCain was a traitor. He gave important combat information to the enemy that caused more of our military to be killed. He did many radio broadcasts for the enemy against America. When he came home several officers wanted him brought up on charges for this, but the gov't didn't want to--remember his father was a bigtime Navy Admiral. It wouldn't look good to show his son as a traitor. McCain opened the door to discuss his POW background, but no one wants to talk about it. If he were a Democrat, it would be all over the media and the swift boat people would have a ball. McCain is a traitor period, no hero! Fellow POWs said they never heard the so called tortures on McCain. This was a coverup then as it is today. Other POWs didn't give the enemy information. McCain is a coward. The media hid Bush's drug and alcohol addiction and look what we have as president!. How do we know Bush isn't drinking anymore. Science says Drugs and alcohol destroy brain tissue! Michael Moore did a dis-service to the public by not speaking out on this issue on McCain. McCain did not receive rank increase or any pay increase for his POW stay, while other POW's did. The gov't knew of his radio broadcasts and how it helped Vietnam to shoot down more pilots than usual and did nothing to this SOB traitor! Check the Internet on the true story of McCains POW years!
