Rachel Maddow completely owns Joe Scarborough. That's, you know, pretty much Platonic truth, but this is a thing of beauty. Give this woman her own show already, MSNBC. Check out the video to your right for more.

Good on you Rachel! I was watching you and rooting for you girl! AND I phoned MSNBC to tell them AGAIN that I will not watch Joe's stupid morning program, it has gone from IMUS's 'haven for intellectuals' to an 'intellectual wasteland'. Joe is just a snide belligerent repug. When he talks it feels as if the air is being sucked out of the room. He is a mental midget compared to you! BRAVO!

Scarborough. Why this jerk is on the air speaks volumes about the dearth of sense in broadcasting. Just as the Hannity's, Limpdicks, Orally's, Beck's and such spout crap and nonsense, Scarborough can't find a way out of his own bag of bullshit. You go girl!

Rachel Maddow Takes on the Asshats

Note Joe S.'s condescending refrain "Ray-chul, come on now" in lieu of any actual argument of her devastating facts. He did not refute ONE of her points--which frankly are indisputable (McCain has changed his mind on every point she mentions).

GIve the woman her props, Joe, she ran you round the maypole. AND PS Joe, your job is NOT to keep the commentators from making key points. Shut up and let her talk next time already, that's what she's there for.

Give this woman her own show already, MSNBC.

YES. Better hurry, before CNN gets her first.

Watching her spar, elegantly, with Pat Buchanan (and others) has been a joy this election season. This articulate, intelligent woman is amazing. In fact, she might be too good for MSNBC.

....... there's every reason to believe that Maddow is now persona non grata on the Joe & Mika Show. Like the Faux News buffoons, Faux Friends, members of the reality-based community cannot be allowed to enter within a mile of their bubble. It's just too dangerous for them.

Joe and his crew are a disgrace. How they manage to remain on MSNBC is as mysterious a phenomenon as the re-election of our Chimpenfuherer, The only possible explanation can be the hordes of dumb asses who are so eager to inhale their bullshit along with their waffle and McCoffee first thing in the morning.

We'll see Maddow get her own show at the same time Amy Goodman gets hers.

And running intellectual circles around him isn't that great a challenge, when you think about it.

Now, if someone would bring him to justice for the murder of Lori Klausutis, the young aid found dead in his office, that would impress me.

Is Scarborough really that big of an idiot that he would say those things? Surely the Republicans have spun some sort of talking points to get around McCain's sudden shift to the right. Maybe this is a sign that they have left Joe out of the loop.

Maddow is Dangerous!

Current rating: 4    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Rachel Maddow is dangerous to the mainstream media and the mystique they have built around THEIR candidate. She is so on top of things and always tells it like it is. I see her on MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann and she is far more astute in her observations than any of the Newsweek or Washington Post reporters/editors who show up there. Why doesn't MSNBC replace Chris Matthews with her? AND she should be the top commentator on the fall debates and election.

Listening to Rachel is so refreshing - she's a thinker, she is. Not only is she absolutely verbally stellar, but she has the facts down cold and isn't afraid to refute the spin and obfuscation of self-proclaimed wanks like Scarborough.

Rachel Maddow for Democratic President or Vice-President 08.

Maddow always gets right to the point, knows what she's talking about and puts things in perspective. She can even make Pat Buchanan somehow tolerable. I'll often have MSNBC on in the background and when I hear her name, I immediately start paying attention. There's nobody better.

A. he eventually had to start with the "well, if you compare the democrats...." distraction. The democrats weren't beind discussed... McCain was.

B. she revealed the real dynamic of the press's story on McCain; the story we set initially.. he is tough and experienced on defense, a maverick, and dislikes the far right... is the story we go with all the way, even if he proves that it isn't actually the truth through his words and deeds.

CBS is looking for someone to take over Face The Nation come January. Maybe we need to start e-mailing Sean McManus (CBS News President) to give her the gig. It's time to break up the boy's club on Sunday Morning and Ms Maddow is the one to do it.

Scarborough Secretary Skull Crusher
Posted by: DeaconJ on Apr 3, 2008 10:31 AM
Current rating: 4    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Lori Klausutis, an aide of Joe Scarborough, was found dead in Scarborough's own office with a smashed skull (multiple fractures, front and back) at the very same time Levy went missing. Official reports of the death of Lori Klausutis, the 28-year-old aide to Joe Scarborough, have been contradictory and suspicious. Initial reports said there were no signs of trauma; the autopsy reported a "scratch and a bruise" where Lori's head hit her desk, a fact which was initially concealed by the medical examiner because "The last thing we wanted was 40 questions about a head injury." Then we learned the examiner, Michael Berkland, had his license revoked in Missouri in 1998, and suspended for six years in Florida in 1999. Now the Fort Walton Beach police are refusing to release reports about Lori's death, citing an "open investigation." Do the police believe Lori was murdered? The Northwest Florida Daily News wants to know, and so do we.

Scarborough resigned right after this incident. The official reason Scarborough resigned from congress, which is really an extraoodinary thing to do anyway out of the blue, was he wanted to "spend more time with his family," which was kind of odd, since he had recently separated from his wife, who had custody. they had a divorce over, you guessed it, an affair.

Yes! I think someone should seriously consider giving her her own broadcast (beyond the radio, that is). Her perceptive viewpoints are always three dimensional and well considered. Although I am an Independent (and former Democrat), I also find Joe to be fair and balanced (at least for the most part).

as he routinely slaps down Mika on his own show, and tries to do the same whenever he is pitted against a female. I guess Mika has to sit there and just take it, because she serves at his pleasure. Obviously, Maddow hasn't gotten that memo...

My favorite Joe Scarborough quote ever
Posted by: fanny666 on Apr 4, 2008 8:44 AM
Current rating: Not yet rated    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
On predictions that the war on Iraq would be something other than a cakewalk:

"I'm waiting to hear the words 'I was wrong' from some of the world's most elite journalists, politicians and Hollywood types.... I just wonder, who's going to be the first elitist to show the character to say: 'Hey, America, guess what? I was wrong'? Maybe the White House will get an apology, first, from the New York Times' Maureen Dowd. Now, Ms. Dowd mocked the morality of this war....

"Do you all remember Scott Ritter, you know, the former chief U.N. weapons inspector who played chief stooge for Saddam Hussein? Well, Mr. Ritter actually told a French radio network that -- quote, 'The United States is going to leave Baghdad with its tail between its legs, defeated.' Sorry, Scott. I think you've been chasing the wrong tail, again.

"Maybe disgraced commentators and politicians alike, like Daschle, Jimmy Carter, Dennis Kucinich, and all those others, will step forward tonight and show the content of their character by simply admitting what we know already: that their wartime predictions were arrogant, they were misguided and they were dead wrong. Maybe, just maybe, these self-anointed critics will learn from their mistakes. But I doubt it. After all, we don't call them 'elitists' for nothing."
(MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, 4/10/03)

Of course, don't forget why he is no longer in congress.

RACHEL MADDOW TO REPLACE MORNING JOE, PLEASE !!!!
Posted by: kkay on Apr 8, 2008 8:51 PM
Current rating: Not yet rated    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Please, please, Rachel Maddow let's get her on in place of Morning Joe, or in the evening, mainstream, if possible, to get her articulate analysis out there, so more people can get a grasp of the "reality" opposed to the "theatre of Bush-Cheney-Rice-McCain, et al. And not just for the few seconds/minutes on Olberman, but as the star, as she should be of her own show.

So sad, people like Joe S. just can't let anyone with a different view/analysis complete a whole sentence - how insecure that seems to me.
