Fox News Demotes Heath Ledger Bashing Bigot John Gibson

Posted by Jeff Fecke, Shakesville at 6:18 AM on March 14, 2008.

Ah, John. We'll sure miss you.

Don't complain that sounds barbaric. We're fighting barbaric:

Fox News Channel, tinkering for the first time in eight years with its popular early evening lineup, is replacing its 5 p.m. news broadcast, “The Big Story,” with an election-theme program for the foreseeable future. The network confirmed this week that “America’s Election HQ,” a program that displaced “The Big Story” temporarily last month, would continue indefinitely. The program’s hosts, Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly, also anchor the network’s mid-morning newscast and are seen as rising stars on the channel. The change was first reported by the blog TVNewser.com. John Gibson, the longtime host of “The Big Story,” will continue to have a role on television, the network said, although it appears that his future for now lies mostly on radio.
As Crooks and Liars helpfully reminds us:
Gibby insulted actor Heath Ledger shortly after his death, accused outed CIA operative, Valerie Plame of being part of an anti-Bush cabal within the CIA, introduced the world to the dreaded Oogah Boogah Fever, and finally, who could forget the xenophobic “make more white babies” rant.

All true! But don't forget my favorite! John Gibson posted this beauty right after British police shot a man in a tube station, shortly after the 2005 bombings there:

Meantime, got to admire the cojones of those Brit cops to go after him like that. All of this trumps any of my other complaints that the Brits weren't making the right noises about fighting terror. They like to go about things a bit more quietly than us. Not my style, but okay, fine — as long as they get the five in the noggin of the right bomber boy. They do that and I'm fine.
So for the moment, alls well. Just catch the four bombers. Five in the noggin is fine. Don't complain that sounds barbaric. We're fighting barbaric.

Of course, bomber boy turned out to be Jean Charles de Menezes, who was not so much a hardened al Qaeda terrorist as a 27-year-old Brazilian national who was trying to go to work. But still, John Gibson -- knowing, mind you, that at the very least the guy didn't have a bomb -- still cheered his fatal shooting.

Ah, John. We'll sure miss you.

Digg!

watch Fox News? They are still so bigoted and racist even without this fool. My advice: Get your news from National Public Radio (NPR).

Sometimes it's painful. But you know how the truth hurts.

This hateful, spiteful little , (I have no idea how tall he is), (man?) has had a soapbox far too long for spewing hate in the guise of 'comment.'

He, once, responded to an E of mine, more than any of the other incubi or succubi, (do the plurals work?), that work in Fauxnews.

That's mentally, of course ... :-)

I stay at the lowest level of Dish to avoid giving any money to Fauxnews by having their channel on my TV.

This is a great event. I saw those hearse photos, I know the use of pain killers, of which I have one more than those they mentioned in connnection with Heath Ledger (cancer and lots more). Managed right they are a help but often enough they make one feel unwell also. All that aside, the man died, I don't give a DAM (tinker's dam) what was said in the drunken or druggy video, it does not mean a man deserves such a death. This yoyo "announcer" now removed, thank god, deserves much, much worse. My religion, which is not a so universal thing in my country, where we don't much go to extremes, does not much care about repenting and getting forgiven,-- the old way was to punish the wrongdoer, within reason, and this illiterate jerk who can't "do" grammar, has severe problems. His reference much too often to cojones and balls means to me he feels like a man out, maybe a man without. I know some, it's like not having wisdom teeth. You might need injections to keep the rest of the system in balance, and believe me, the synthetic injections will give you all the manly joy you could ever hope for, despite the missing jewels, which is sadly not so for cancer victims who are neutered and filled with estrogens, but here, with a different end in mind, like avoiding the eunuch sweats (like menopause in women) and possible trouble with osteoporosis, life can be just fine. Of course, there too the U.S. has a religious hangup on this: I understand a very select group of doctors {they alone} need special licences to prescribe these compounds. God, I wish the U.S. could enter the 19th century, but you are forevover going to be after dunking those witches in Salem, aren't you, (what is your abortion civil war and birth control legislation not to mention almost mandatory "give birth or else" with adoption, but just that: a continuing and unending effort to keep women in their places? And dont' throw Hillary at me over this one, I fail to see the great crusader there), or better yet, if you could just burn some gays at the stake, what fun. That is how you come across to the rest of the world. I wonder if this one non-reporter could not benefit from a trip to the psychologist and maybe the urologist. He does not look normal, he LOOKS like someone who is missing something he ought to have, let's put it that way, and maybe at the least we dont' have to hear his cojones references, amongst his other obscenities (not obscene when used seriously, this character misses that). But now at least one can have some peace over those haunting, terrifying last views of what was Heath Ledger.
