Sometimes the best way to highlight dangerous imbecility is to satirize it.

As in framing of any type, the threat and reality of global warming is only reinforced by the mockery. Sarah Silverman, who seeks to relabel Climate Change as "Global Comfortabling," urges us to grab a can of hairspray, don our bathing costumes and join her in scaling Mt. Everest....

Digg!

http://www.theyesmen.org/agribusiness /halliburton/about/hse.html

Excerpt from the speech:
"...Given the science, these worries cannot be called unreasonable. But panicking isn't the answer.

If we panic and try to stop climate change, 70% of carbon emissions will have to stop. That'll be a huge blow to our way of doing business: government intervention will become the rule, and we'll have thrown out the baby with the bathwater.

To remain profitable in a macroscopic loss situation, we must integrate disaster into our global business vision, and not allow immediate dangers to interfere with our general, longer-term concept of safety.

We at Halliburton, for example, assure our safety not despite, but via the ambient danger - in reconstruction, relocation of refugees, peacekeeping. These arenas are synergistic: where there's conflict, there's reconstruction; where there are refugees, there's conflict; where there's conflict or reconstruction, there are bound to be refugees....

....For those of us in positions of responsibility, however, who might have to take charge in a crisis, even more innovative solutions will be needed. We can't be satisfied with mere survival, but must guarantee, at every instant, the capacity and resources to keep our thumbs firmly on the triggers of progress.

From an insurance perspective, this is more essential than any other safety challenge, since it will guarantee the continuing liquidity of the insured enterprise. And the only way to do this is to maintain a highly sophisticated boots-on-the-ground strategy.

I'd like now to introduce my colleague, Dr. Northrop Goody, who's the head of our Emergency Products Development Unit at Halliburton. Dr. Goody will be showing some mockups that his unit has developed, and will explain the unit's various features..."

Yes: the Halliburton SURVIVABALL.. ...get yours today!

(Halliburton did make a lot of money off of the Katrina disaster, didn't they?)

GNN's full on attack of al gore right before the release of his movie?
did anyone notice that GNN owner Stephen Marshall's daddy in on the board of directors of some of the biggest polluters in N America?
, such as the Aluma Corp busily building the worlds largest oil refinery in northern alberta, which employs the dirtiest form of oil 'reclaimation'. it burns fossil fuels to boil water, which is then permanently polluted by injecting it as steam into the tar sands to boil the oil off. this process is so costly and dirty that before the invasion of iraq, it was hardly cost effective to implement.

I know this is supposed to be a parody and that we are all expected to laugh. And I suppose that somehow I could laugh at a global warming Al Gore parody if it was funny. But I guess this just wasn't funny. I guess I forgot to take my funny pill this morning.

Her "comedy" routine, repleat with laugh-track, is the inane mumblings of a stupifyingly ignorant cunt. She's looking hard for Exxon-Mobile sponsorship. It would fit right in with their call to "scientist" to help them "debunk" Global warming. It's only midmorning here but I've got to go puke.

It's all about delivery and hers makes me want to step in front of a bus. As for the content, not funny, stupid even.

Jews are like the minstral show that entertains us as we slide into fascism. I bet some really sarcastic jokes were made in the cattle cars as they slid into Auschwitz. Har Har. Keep them coming.
