Palin to Promote Her Book With Multiple Fox News Interviews: 'Variety Is the Spice of Life.'

Posted by Matt Corley, Think Progress at 9:18 AM on November 4, 2009.

Apparently, she plans to follow the same strategy as she used during the election.

On her Facebook page yesterday, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin announced that she was "very excited about the upcoming road trip" to promote her book, which will be released later this month. As CNN's Alexander Mooney notes, Palin “hinted she'd likely sit down with a string of friendly faces during the tour that begins in two weeks." Indeed, Palin is hoping to do interviews mainly with Fox News hosts and contributors:

We're in the process of arranging interviews with local and national media. An interview with Oprah Winfrey is already scheduled, and I'm also hoping to have the opportunity to talk with Bill O'Reilly, Barbara Walters, Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Dennis Miller, Tammy Bruce, and others, including local Alaska personalities Bob & Mark and Eddie Burke. (Variety is the spice of life!)

As Sen. John McCain's (R-AZ) vice presidential running mate in the 2008 election, Palin gave Fox multiple interviews while avoiding other news efforts. Apparently, she plans to follow the same strategy as she promotes her book.

Digg!

Palin behind a book signing table...

The thought of her sitting behind piles of books, signing her name over and over... gives me the giggles. How many book signing tours at B&N and Waldens do you think she'll actually make before she quits? Do you think she'll have Meg stamping Palin's name for her on the coverleaf?

She's surrounding herself with rightwing ideologues, liars, and shriekers - nary a progressive in sight. A page right out of the Bush book of self-promotion.

No doubt; and there may be a reason for that. There are some newspeople who would not care to be saddled with an "interview" with Ms. Palin, as well a a lot of viewers who will change the channel when they see her yammering to someone on TV. YOU BETCHA!

So, no Katie Couric this time?

My opinion of Ms Couric as a lightweight was overturned by her excellent, probing interview with this moron.
Never agressive, always quiet and polite she deftly managed to show the unbelievable shallowness of the candidate, mainly out of Palin's own mouth.

Oh to see a replay, with all the subsequent stuff to work on Katie should have the Alaskan Breeder sobbing in no time!

Like a cue card to tell her whether to sign it S-a-r-a or S-a-r-a-h.

Everybody in line should ask her questions about the material in the last third of the book - the parts that were written after she lost interest. She'll have to get back to 'em.
