Poor Bush: Websites Mocking W. Rank Higher Than His Own Presidential Library Site

Posted by Ben Armbruster, Think Progress at 9:51 AM on February 22, 2009.

Last December, the Bush Library foundation paid a cybersquatter $35,000 for the rights to the web domain name www.GeorgeWBushLibrary.com. A web development company originally paid less than $10 for the rights to the site. However, since the purchase, the library's website is having trouble getting noticed on internet search engines:

The Web site for George W. Bush's presidential library foundation -- GeorgeWBushLibrary .com -- is falling behind in online search results for "Bush library."

The guy who's beating him: his own dad. Even pages mocking the former president rank higher.

Danny Sullivan, editor in chief of Search Engine Land, an industry blog said the site is "below average" for building web traffic and "probably failing" in efforts to raise money because of its low ranking.

Digg!

If there is justice in this system "W" will go before a tribunal to account for his crimes and misdeeds.

this HAS to be sponsored by The Onion!

Here's ALL it says:

"The George W. Bush Presidential Center is advancing the ideals of freedom, opportunity, responsibility and compassion through study of the Bush presidency and ongoing research, discussion and scholarship. The Bush Presidential Center uniquely integrates the records of a Presidential Library and Museum, the intellectual capital of a policy institute and the resources of an independent foundation.

The Bush Presidential Center will be set on the campus of a rising national university, in a major metropolitan city in the heartland of the country. It will be the focal point of George and Laura Bush’s continuing commitment to the ideals that are the touchstone of their public service."

I was struck that it doesn't mention THE NAME OF THE UNIVERSITY or the CITY?!?!

Other than that, it's a reflection of how CLUELESS he still is...

Invisible history education.

This library was not established for the people of today, but for your children and their children to come. Think of the McDonald’s way of marketing? This is a trophy for the pride of the "bush" name. They feel that they deserve a rightful place of historical achievement and they are not waiting for a vote on this one. Again, they are taking it! Hopefully we can educate our children without invisible histories and then "True History” will be archived for the future generations to come.

But What Good Does Mocking Criminals Do Us?

If it were not for the millions of people who sat back, gullibly and blindly following all of the shams and buying into all of the lies, then Bush could not be labeled as he is. As well deserved as the name calling and mockery is, while he and his criminal associates devised ways to rape America and her people of our wealth, dignity, Constitutional rights and anything else they could redistribute for their own gain ... along the way, there had to be MANY Americans who assisted and permitted them to do so! And now, with all of the knowledge that we have, we sit debating whether anything should be done in the aftermath?

We ALL hold some accountability in the denigration of America. We are 320+ million people strong, led by a mere 530 or so politicians. WHO has the true power to change things and why are we STILL sitting here poking fun, rather than assuring that these events never again repeat themselves?

Well what do you expect? No self respecting philanthropist would want his name associated with Bush and his "library". In fact Bush doesn't even read for business or pleasure so how hypocritical is the funding of a library in his name?

To devote a librery to the presidency of George W. Bush is way too much. A bookmoble up on blocks in his front yard will be fine.
