Students on 200 campuses came together last week for the National Student Labor Week of Action. And from the looks of the event, their work -- everything from boycotting corporations to end sweatshop labor to fighting to improve the pay scales of college employees -- is just getting started.
A new study, conducted by students around the nation, shows that more and more people in the U.S. are hungry, homeless and getting turned away from shelters lacking the funds to help.
Whether it's through gathering signatures, training other activists, organizing and attending protests, or just talking to their neighbors, young anti-GMO activists are helping their generation become aware and pro-active about the food they eat.
