De Beers, the world's largest diamond company that controls approximately 70 percent of the diamond trade, has recently been targeted by human rights advocates because of its involvement in bloody civil wars in Angola, the Congo, and Sierra Leone. If the diamond industry doesn't clean up its act, it could be the target of a consumer boycott.
